ARP® Certification Training
This ARP training certifies you to purchase and use the Authority – Responsibility – Power (ARP®) questionnaire. The ARP consists of 30 questions, evaluating:
Authority
- self-knowledge
- the degree of confidence you have in you self-knowledge, experience, and competencies
- how well you accept and appreciate yourself
- your ego strength and resilience
Responsibility
- whether you have the will and ability to do what you find valuable
- level of commitment and engagement in following through
- how well can you understand the emotions of others
- how well you respond to the needs of others
The results of the Authority and Responsibility scales are plotted on four quadrants, like on a map. Identified in the first quadrant (Transforming) are the people whose answers resulted in positive values on both scales. The second quadrant (Commanding) specifies those individuals with a positive result on Authority scale and a negative on Responsibility scale. The third quadrant (Conforming) contains those with a negative result on Authority scale and a positive result on the Responsibility scale. The fourth quadrant (Protesting) identifies those individuals who scored negative results on both Authority and Responsibility.
In the main, those individuals able to collaborate and lead others efficiently score a relatively high result on both Authority and Responsibility. Your position on the ARP map is not static. The results change over the course of time as self-knowledge and personal development changes. Thus the questionnaire is very useful in leadership and executive development.
The participant when completing the questionnaire is asked to rank the commonly perceived bases of power. The results are then compared to the Hungarian data base norms. This comparison provides insight as to the alignment of perceptions and surfaces issues of motivation and influence.
Those who successfully complete the certification seminar can purchase and use the Hungarian, English, German, and Dutch versions of the ARP questionnaire. The three-day ARP Certification Training articulates the theoretical foundations of authority, responsibility, and power, explains the construction of the ARP, and gives you sufficient information and experience to enable you to interpret the results, give appropriate feedback, and create developmental plans for yourself and your clients. We also offer professional consultation support and follow-up programs after the training.
We recommend the qualification training for leaders, HR professionals, consultants, and trainers who are engaged in professional and personal growth, leadership, executive training and organizational development.
The training is held by Ilona Erős and Richard Bents, the authors of the Hungarian questionnaire. The seminar is conducted in Hungarian and English. |
